THOMAS - Student from France

My arrival in Baltimore was not easy, in particular because of the search for accommodation which is very different from what one can experience in France. Innocently, I first took accommodation relatively cheaper than the others and which was at a distance that seemed reasonable to me from the university (about thirty minutes by bus). But the functioning of American cities being very particular when you do not have a car, I decided to move near the university. It was a choice that was beneficial and despite the higher rents, and the adaptation to "American-style" shared accommodation (between 4 and 5 people, in a house rather than in a residence), I was delighted. CAMP-US is very available for all requests, shared accommodation is much less demanding than in France and Johns Hopkins University is 10 minutes away on foot.
